If you don’t own a Ruger 10/22 rifle, you’ve either been missing out on some great parts of life OR you have screwed up priorities.
If you don’t own a 10/22 AND a suppressor…. well, this is why I am here to help, you silly galah.
This 10/22 rifle is your standard basic 10/22 rifle with a polymer stock and a threaded barrel with a flash hider, the perfect base gun for you to go balls-deep into the wonderful world of rimfire shooting.
1) Aklys Kopis. This little guy is a svelte 2.4oz and utterly fantastic. There are only two suppressors lighter than this one that I know of, chiefly the Mercy Puto (2.0oz) and the CGS Siren (2.2oz) but the Mercy Pluto is a sealed suppressor that can only be cleaned with “the dip” and the CGS Siren is carbon fiber and both are 22LR only while the Kopis is MG rated for 22LR and semi for 17HMR and 22Mag. It has a reverse-threaded monocore bafflestack, meaning that it cannot be overtightened or get seized up and full disassembly can happen with a coin. I personally use this suppressor to hunt with and you very much forget that it is there, it is utterly enjoyable.
2) Otter Creek Titanium. Regarded as the current favorite for suppressors by all the autists on Reddit, this can is well-built, 4.4oz in weight and pretty damn quiet.
3) Resilient Suppressor Jessies Girl. There’s a lot written about this suppressor but to sum it up, this is a 6oz titanium/stainless/aluminum 5.7×28 MG capable suppressor that works wonderfully well and will dutifully serve for multiple lifetimes.
This is easy. Select which can you want and purchase!
When you get to your dealer, you will be able to fill out the 4473 for the 10/22 and take it home with you while your dealer will work with you to file the Form 4 for the suppressor. When you finally get the can approved, crank off that flash hider and you will be able to enjoy your rifle with sweet silence.
